CP - Creative Camera is a local-first application. Your scripts, recordings, camera feeds, and audio are processed entirely on your machine. We do not collect, transmit, or store your content.
1. Information We Collect
Information You Provide
- Account information: Email address when purchasing a license through Paddle
- Payment information: Processed entirely by Paddle (our Merchant of Record) — we never see or store your payment details
- Support communications: Emails and messages when you contact us for support
Information We Do NOT Collect
- Your scripts and teleprompter content
- Your video recordings and camera feeds
- Your audio recordings and mixer settings
- Your streaming credentials and RTMP keys
- Your file system or document contents
- Usage analytics (unless you opt in)
2. How We Use Information
The limited information we collect is used for:
- License activation: Verifying your purchase and activating your software license
- Customer support: Responding to your inquiries and providing technical assistance
- Product updates: Notifying you about software updates and important security patches
- Transactional emails: Purchase receipts, subscription renewals, and billing notifications (handled by Paddle)
3. Local Processing
CP - Creative Camera processes all data locally on your device:
- Teleprompter: Scripts are stored in local files on your machine
- Camera and recording: All video processing uses your local hardware (GPU-accelerated)
- Audio mixer: Audio processing happens in real-time on your device
- AI features: Whisper ASR transcription runs locally — no audio is sent to any cloud service
- Live streaming: RTMP streams go directly from your machine to the streaming platform (YouTube, Twitch, etc.) — we are not an intermediary
- Settings and presets: All application settings are stored locally
4. Third-Party Services
We use the following third-party services:
Paddle (Payment Processing)
Paddle acts as our Merchant of Record and handles all payment processing, billing, and tax compliance. Their privacy policy governs the handling of your payment information.
Website Analytics (Optional)
Our website may use privacy-respecting analytics (Plausible Analytics) to understand general traffic patterns. No personal data is collected, and no cookies are used for tracking.
5. Data Security
Since CP - Creative Camera operates locally, your content data is protected by your own device's security measures. For the limited data we handle (email, license info):
- All communications use TLS/SSL encryption
- License keys are encrypted at rest
- We follow industry-standard security practices
- Access to customer data is limited to authorized personnel
